ARLINGTON, TX – As soccer fans arrive in Arlington for the 2026 World Cup, the award-winning National Medal of Honor Museum will provide visitors from around the world the opportunity to explore one of the world’s seven most beautiful museums. Located just steps from AT&T Stadium, where five group stage and four knockout round matches will take place from June 14 to July 14, the National Medal of Honor Museum brings to life the inspiring stories of ordinary people who demonstrated extraordinary courage in service to others – including Medal of Honor Recipients with connections to eight of the nine countries that will be competing in the group stage matches.

The global architecture and design award program recognized it among just seven institutions worldwide — and the only choice in the Western Hemisphere — for excellence in both design and cultural impact. Earlier this year, the Museum was named the Best New Museum in America in USA TODAY 10BEST 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The Museum is also home to the 1861 Café and Restaurant which serves delicious made-to-order items throughout the day from a menu thoughtfully created by the Museum’s in-house chef and culinary team.
