A Refusal to Surrender This Weekend in DFW: National Medal of Honor Museum’ s Grand Opening Mission to Inspire Spectacular Features Activities for North Texas Community
The National Medal of Honor Museum invites the public to free, family-friendly festivities celebrating Medal of Honor Recipients and opening of Museum

ARLINGTON, TX — The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation cordially invites members of the North Texas community to an unforgettable celebration on Saturday, March 22, outside Choctaw Stadium starting at 7:00 pm CT. Before the doors open on March 25, the Grand Opening Mission to Inspire Spectacular will pay tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s Medal of Honor Recipients.
This free, family-friendly event will feature activations and engaging community experiences from Museum partners. Attendees will be treated to a live performance by Lee Greenwood, Grammy Award-Winning Recording Artist, and the U.S. Navy Band Commodores. The evening will conclude with the Mission to Inspire Spectacular: a storytelling spectacle in the sky featuring fireworks, drones, video, and a variety of musical arrangements, including musicians from the Army and the Naval Academy.
“The Mission to Inspire Spectacular is a moment to pay tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of those who have received the Medal of Honor and all those who have served our country,” said Chris Cassidy, NMOHMF President and CEO. “After three years of construction, we are very excited to share this historic project with the nation and celebrate with the North Texas community. Together, we’ll light up the sky with the inspirational stories American heroes.”

Members of the public may register here to attend the Mission to Inspire Spectacular. Choctaw Stadium concessions and restrooms will be available for all guests. This is an outdoor, open-ground event.
Grand Opening celebrations are being graciously underwritten by Museum partners: The City of Arlington, Texas, American Airlines, and Boeing.
