5th Annual Medal of Honor Mail Call

Medal of Honor Mail Call was created by Janine Stange in 2017 as a way for all Americans to express their gratitude for the service and sacrifice of our nation’s living Medal of Honor recipients. The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation is proud to once again partner with Janine for the 5th Annual Medal of Honor Mail Call.

We are On a Mission to Inspire America and we need your help to honor our 68 living Medal of Honor recipients. Over the coming weeks, we ask that you write letters, draw pictures, send postcards, or create something special that expresses your heartfelt appreciation for all they have given for our freedom.

We hope you will use this opportunity to learn more about these heroes and their extraordinary acts of valor, as well as the incredible impact many of them have made and continue to make on society after receiving the Medal of Honor. We owe each of these recipients a debt of gratitude and we hope you will join us by authoring and mailing your letters of appreciation today.

How to Participate in Mail Call 2021

  1. Review the gallery below to learn a little bit about each of the 69 living recipients of the Medal of Honor. Pick a recipient, or two, whose stories stand out to you.
  2. Write your letter. Make it personal, speak from the heart, let them know what you learned from their story, why it matters, and what it means to you!
  3. Mail your letters to us by National Medal of Honor Day – March 25 (letters will continue to be accepted through mid-April):
    • National Medal of Honor Museum
      ATTN: {Recipient’s Name}
      1905 East Randol Mill Road
      Arlington, TX 76011
  4. Spread the word! Print or share this flyer with others you know who would be interested in expressing their appreciation.
