About the Program

Created and narrated by historian John Monsky, American Heart in WWI is a cinematic experience that brings to life the American story during World War I through a series of interwoven narratives.

Blending live performance, music, and historical imagery, the production captures the courage, complexity, and humanity of a generation shaped by war.

Through these stories, audiences are invited to reflect on how shared moments in history continue to shape who we are—and how we choose to show up for one another today.

American Heart in WWI, a John Monsky production in association with American History Unbound, is made possible through the generous support of Kenneth C. Griffin and Griffin Catalyst.
