On its “Mission to Inspire America,” the National Medal of Honor Museum will tell the stories of the more than 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients who have been recognized for their perseverance, courage under fire and determination. But it will also serve to foster a connection between Americans and our country’s greatest heroes, providing us all with the opportunity to explore the significance of those values and be inspired to exemplify them in daily life.

As our country faces the COVID-19 crisis, regular Americans across the country are putting their own self-interests aside to help others. Whether it’s health care workers, grocery store clerks, cleaning professionals, first responders, delivery drivers or transit workers, just about everyone in America knows or has benefited from someone going to work every day fighting COVID-19 head-on to keep our country running in the midst of this crisis.

Recognizing Our Heroes

#MissionInspire is a place where Americans from all walks of life – from Medal of Honor recipients to all those who are currently or previously served in the U.S. Armed Forces, to parents and children of all ages, to elected leaders – can share stories of the people and organizations that inspire them.

Please join us in thanking these heroes for their perseverance, courage, and determination by using the form below to submit a story about someone you know who is working to keep our country running in the midst of this crisis.
